We’re asking people to send in a dollar, stick a dollar bill into an envelope and drop it in the mail. It’s less than a cup of Starbuck’s, but put all together, it’s going to go along way.

The money is used to help cover costs - BAMC only supplies the tables and chairs, we bring everything else in — all the food, beverage, flowers, table coverings, door prizes, tea favors,printing tea programs, not to mention all the travel and shipping costs. Four of us do almost all the baking. Attached is photo of last year’s departure from JFK — all those boxes were filled with cookies, cakes, scones, and brownies. Jet Blue did a terrific job - we only had one broken cookie!

We’ve had a terrific response from Tea Time magazine readers to our call for china donations, and being one of your long time listeners, I’m sure we’ll get an equally terrific response from your program. This year’s tea is just going to knock their socks off in Texas — for them to see how many people pitched in to make the tea happen is such a big boost for them. Huge!
