October 27, 2007 — Hillary Clinton’s first reaction upon discovering that Bill had carried on an affair with Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office was that her husband “couldn’t be that insane,” biographer Sally Bedell Smith writes in her upcoming book about the couple, “For Love of Politics.”

Bedell - author of “Grace and Power: The Private World of the Kennedy White House” and “Diana in Search of Herself: Portrait of a Troubled Princess” - told WOR Radio’s Steve Malzberg that her new book, out next month, includes an interview with a close pal of Sen. Clinton who said Hillary was aware of her hubby’s cheating ways long before Lewinsky.

Bedell told Malzberg on the air, “This person said, ‘If [Hillary] heard that he had sort of gone out and had a fling on the road, she could have believed that in a heartbeat. Look, she was not about to divorce him for doing something that he had been doing for their whole married life, the only difference being the magnitude.’

As NewsBusters reported Monday, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., made some absurd statements about a number of conservative media members at Al Gore’s Live Earth concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

One of those Kennedy called a flat earther, ABC’s John Stossel, after debating Kennedy on Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto” Wednesday, spoke quite candidly about this issue with WOR radio’s Steve Malzberg.

It’s safe to say that Stossel was less than kind with his rebuttal (audio and story available here).

WOR New York has announced that political commentator and longtime WABC Sports Talk host Steve Malzberg has joined WOR beginning Monday (5/7) for weekday evenings, 9-11 PM. Malzberg replaces Lionel, who debuts on Air America Radio later this month. Malzberg will also be syndicated nationally by the WOR Radio Network (weekdays, 9 PM-Midnight ET).

“Steve is an industry pro with a genuine passion for Talk Radio and a strong track record of success in the format,” said WOR’s Vice President and General Manager Bob Bruno. “I am delighted to have him aboard.”

“I am thrilled to be a part of the WOR Radio Family,” stated Malzberg. “I was weaned on WOR from early childhood, and am thrilled to once again be heard regularly in New York City, following Michael Savage, no less!”

Veteran radio talk show host and NewsMax contributor Steve Malzberg is joining powerful WOR-AM in New York City.

Malzberg will helm the 9-11 p.m. slot starting Monday, and will be heard 9 p.m.-midnight weekdays on the national WOR Radio Network.

He replaces Lionel, who is moving to Air America (WWRL-AM).

Malzberg spent more than 20 years at WABC and briefly co-hosted the WWRL morning show. He has also regularly filled in for national hosts like Bill Bennett and Mike Gallagher.
